My Background
I hail from Pune, a city steeped in history, knowledge, valor, and culture. Pune, often referred to as the "Oxford of the East" in days of yore, instilled in me a profound appreciation for diversity.
Throughout my educational journey, I enthusiastically embraced activities beyond the confines of traditional classroom learning. From sports to elocution and debates, I actively engaged in various competitions during my school days. As I matured, I ventured into leadership roles within student organizations, honing my leadership skills through both solo initiatives and collaborative teamwork.
During my undergraduate studies, I made a deliberate choice to step out of my comfort zone, endeavoring to transform into a proficient professional. I'm delighted to report that this aspiration was realized over the course of my four-year engineering program.
Within that span, I dedicated my time to various impactful endeavors, such as volunteering for the National Tiger Census Program and receiving the prestigious LeadEARTH Fellowship. I also gained practical experience by interning with Viraj Envirozing India, Pvt. Ltd., an environmental consulting firm. Additionally, I successfully led my team in organizing our institute's annual technical events on two separate occasions.
My academic journey continued with a Master's program at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. During this phase, I took on the challenge of working two jobs simultaneously: one as a Civil Engineering Intern with the Development division of the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) and the other as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Engineering Surveying students. Although it was undoubtedly demanding, looking back, I'm grateful for the invaluable lessons I acquired along the way.
